We want to connect with our local community in all sorts of ways, but one way we do it is through events. We run a number of events connecting with the local community throughout the year, but there are three particular events that we run every year:
**Our next event will be the Summer Community Fun day on Saturday 15 July 2017**
For the latest updates about all our events check out our Facebook page.
So, what is each event about and when will the next one take place? Here is a quick low-down for each one:
Easter Community Fun days (Next event is Saturday 1st April '17, 1.00 - 4.00pm)
These events are based at the church but are free to anyone. We believe that Easter is God's free gift to us all, so we want to offer a quality free event for all every Easter. While the events are particularly great for families, there is something for everyone, from crafts, games and bible story, through to the cake stall, free raffle and free gifts.
Summer Community Fun Days (Next event Saturday 16 July '17 1.00 - 4.00pm)
Like the Easter events these are free to attend. However, the summer events take place in North Park and are absolutely huge!! We are so grateful to the many traders and others who help to make the event such a massive success.
Like the Easter events these events will appeal to everyone. There are usually a range of performers at the event including groups and soloists who will appeal to a range of musical tastes. There are also loads of stalls - some from the church, others by local charities and community groups. This year's publicity (above) will give you a taste of what you can expect.
Christmas Parties (Next event December '17)
Unlike our other events these have generally been by invitation only. Invitations are sent to those who have attended other activities run by the church and who have given us their contact details at any of these.
Our Christmas Parties are mainly aimed at families with children of primary school age. In 2016 we are contemplating the possibility of running something for older children. Watch this space for more information.
