We want to connect with our local community in all sorts of ways, but one way we do it is through events. We run a number of events connecting with the local community throughout the year, but there are three particular events that we run every year:
For the latest updates about all our events check out our Facebook page - click the link at the bottom of this page.
So, what is each event about and when will the next one take place? Here is a quick low-down for each one:
Easter Community Fun days
These events are based at the church but are free to anyone. We believe that Easter is God's free gift to us all, so we want to offer a quality free event for all every Easter. While the events are particularly great for families, there is something for everyone, from crafts, games and bible story, through to the cake stall, free raffle and free gifts.
Summer Community Fun Days
Like the Easter events these are free to attend. However, the summer events take place in North Park and are absolutely huge!! We are so grateful to the many traders and others who help to make the event such a massive success.
These events appeal to everyone. There are a range of performers including dancers and singers, groups and soloists - appealing to a range of tastes. There are also loads of stalls - from the church, local charities, community groups and traders. Each year's publicity will give you a taste of what you can expect. Look out for it to be posted on this page. Watch out for the reverse side of the 2018 publicity for more details - it will be posted here soon.
Unlike our other events these are by invitation only. Invitations are sent to those who have attended other activities run by the church and who have given us their contact details at any of these.
As well as a much-anticipated visit from Santa, complete with gift for each child, there are loads of activities for children and their families, ranging from a dynamic re-telling of the Christmas story through a Christmas photo opportunity and various craft activities.
Our Christmas Parties are aimed at families with children of primary school age. Get in touch for more information.
